Baium sulfate is a metal salt insoluble in water and in organic solvents, very little soluble in acid and alkaline hydroxyd. Ba basate is usually used as an oral or fluid, or as an oral paste as a phototholyst in the gastrointestinal X-ray test.

2. Pharmacology and mechanism of effect

Baium sulfate is a metal salt insoluble in water and in organic solvents, very little soluble in acid and alkaline hydroxyd. Ba basate is usually used as an oral or fluid, or as an oral paste as a phototholyst in the gastrointestinal X-ray test. Baium is a metal with an atomic mass of 137, which has strong X-ray absorption properties. A mixture or basine paste depending on the oral or rectal tract to cover the gastrointestinal tract clarifies the lesion on X-rays, used in dual contrast techniques or computerized cirrstralization.

Since baium sulfate is insoluble in water, there is no such severe toxicity as baium ions. Death occurs when the wrong basate is used as a water-soluble substance.

Due to its insoluble properties in water and in organic solvents, basate is not absorbed through the gastrointestinal tract.

Introsent: Gastrointestinal x-ray.

Contrainctraincion: obstruction or perforation of the gastrointestinal tract.

3. Undesirable effects

  • Severe: Less likely to have an antisymic reaction.
  • Common: Constipation (Constipation can be prevented by taking mild laxatives after Xquang examination), diarrhea, cramps, appendicitis, perforation of the intestines, rectal inflammation, abnormal EGC, pneumonia, granuloma, severe shortness of breath, lack of oxygen (when inhaling the drug); the drug permeates the vein after indentation, causing pulmonary embolism because of baton, pneumonia from exposure.

4. Gestation period

Usable. Generally, X-ray probes should be avoided in pregnant people.

5. Lactation period

There is no research document showing complications when using ba ba ba sulfate for breastfeeding people. It is generally necessary to exercise caution when taking the drug for the mother who is breastfeeding.

6. Dosage and how to take it

Depending on the location and type of examination. Reference dose:

  • Gastric and duodenal scans: stir 1 pack with 200ml of warm water, drink before shooting.
  • Colon scan: stir 2-3 packs with 0.5-1 liter of warm water pumped into the anus.
  • Ere photography: Shot in a denseer form.

7. preserve

  • Store at a temperature of 20-350 C, avoiding moisture. Do not leave at freezing temperatures (Mixed products, emulsions).
  • Keep out of reach of children.

8. Overdose and handling

When mistakenly in designed or due to a puncture scan, it will lead to infection (caused by bacteria in the digestive tract), blocking the vessels (in case of hemorrhage).

Emergency surgery is required, cleaning in place as soon as possible.
