The role of AMH endhormonal tests

Abnormal problems in the ovaries are one of the main causes of infertility in females. Therefore, doing endormonal tests, including AMH endhormonal tests, is essential for any woman. So what is an AMH test and what role does it play?

1. What is AMH endhormonal test?

Anti-Mullerian Hormone (AMH) is a hormone produced by granular cells in the ant pre-cavity ovary cyst and the ovary cyst with cavities in the ovaries. The AMH test is essentially measuring the concentration of this hormone to determine the ovarian reserve or the amount of ovules left in the woman's ovaries at a certain time.

The AMH index is usually at its highest level when the woman is in her 25s, after which this concentration will gradually decrease with age.

The better the ovarian reserve means that the higher the fertility of that woman. Therefore, it can be said that amh test helps doctors assess the fertility of women, especially in cases of early ovarian failure.

Unlike many other hormones that can only be taken on the 2nd or 3rd day of the menstrual cycle, due to stability, the AMH test can be conducted at any time. This is also why AMH testing is now more widely applied than LH, FSH or E2 tests.

2. AMH test in 2019

This is one of the hormones that checks for reproduction health so anyone can do it. However, certain cases that are recommended by the doctor to do an AMH test are:

  • Menstrual or non-menstrual disorders
  • Rare cases of infertility
  • Ovarian polycystic
  • People with ovarian cancer or early ovarian failure
  • Menopause toe
  • Monitor the progress and effectiveness of assisted reproduction measures

3. The role of AMH endhormonal tests

Assessment of ovarian aging

When the ovule in the ovaries falls into a state of deterioration in both quantity and quality, it is called ovarian aging. Usually, women are usually menched in their 50s, however there are still many cases of women's menopause earlier than usual.

According to statistics, 1 in 10 women menopause before the age of 45 and 1 in 100 women before the age of 40. Therefore, regular AMH testing can help monitor the remaining amount of ovules in the ovaries to assess the development of ovarian aging.

Fertility toe in females

The AMH index and the number of follicles in the ovaries are directly related to each other. Depending on age and many other factors in each woman, the rate of decrease in AMH levels may vary.

AMH endometric testing gives doctors a basis for monitoring the rate of ovarian aging and the likelihood of pregnancy in a woman. From there it is possible to give a specify of the most appropriate time at which the person can become pregnant naturally or use assisted reproduction measures such as in vismable in via fertilization.

Menopause toning

AMH levels usually decrease early in cases of early ovarian or menopause failure. This is also the reason why AMH testing is more highly valued than the FSH test in the meninge age to be given by women. When predicting the oncical moment of menopause, the doctor will be more proactive in using alternative hormones to prevent diseases caused by early menopause in women, such as osteoporosis.

Predictive ovarian damage after surgery, cancer treatment

With the development of modern medicine, today the examination and treatment of gynecological diseases through laparoscopic surgery (including surgery on the ovaries) is applied more and more widely.

Procedures for cutting, dissecting on the ovaries or electrolytic burning surgery, cancer treatment can affect the number of ovules of the woman. AMH endhormonal tests can help assess and predict somewhat these lesions.

ovarian cancer

4. AMH Clinical Role

  • AMH concentrations > 5ng/mL are valuable in the diagnosis of polycystic ovaries.
  • Monitor and assess the condition of ovarian cancer: after a few days of tumor surgery, AMH levels usually decrease. In case the tumor recurs, the concentration of AMH will again increase.
  • Evaluation of the effectiveness of ovarian stimulants: the ability to respond to an ovarian stimulant if the measured AMH concentration is low. In contrast, high AMH levels show a high likelihood of ovarian oversactivity.

Although it is a new test, it can be seen that AMH endomes play an extremely important role in evaluatiing the birth health of the ovaries. Based on the results of this test, the doctor can give the appropriate diagnosis and treatment.
