There's only ten weeks left before my baby will be born. The thirtyth week of pregnancy will be full of difficulties and concerns, be prepared to face problems and learn to make things easier for both yourself and your baby.

1. Thirtyth week fetal size

At the thirtyth week of gestation, the fetus is about the size of a cabbage, about 1.36 kg. Although the abdominal ring is rounded like there is a whole melon inside, the length of the fetus is about 38 cm. As the fetus develops, the amount of amniotic fluid will be reduced, which is a good sign of normal growth.

I'm preparing for the big day, so is my baby. At the thirtyth week of pregnancy, it is common for the fetus to be in a downward-facing head position. The fetus is trending deeper into the mother's pelvis over the next few weeks.

The eyes of the 30-week fetus begin to distinguish the surrounding things, light and darkness. The main bodies in the body are developed, the fetus will gain about 230 grams per week to ensure the development of the body systems. You'll notice that this week the fetus is more sedic, but this is normal, because the pregnancy is more limited. The hearing of the 30-week pregnancy is developed, the mother can also see the fetus move in response to some loud noises.

2. Mother's body during the thirtyth week of gestation

The closer she gets to giving birth, the more tired she feels, so choose a comfortable sleeping position, it is better to sleep earlier than usual and get a little more sleep in the morning. Getting enough sleep is really important for mom during this period, take a nap to improve her energy supply.

During this period, the fetus needs greater space in the mother's uterus, so the uterus will dilate under the ribs to create more room for the development of the size of the fetus. The larger abdomen alters the mother's focus, causing her to sometimes be a little clumsy and feel out of balance.

3. M med symptoms may be seen at 30 weeks

At the thirtyth week of pregnancy, the mother may experience some of the following symptoms:

  • Difficulty sleeping. I will feel more tired than usual and harder to go to sleep, I should experiment with many different sleep positiones to see if it improves or not, otherwise, go to the doctor!
  • Back pain. Back pain is a very common symptom in pregnancy. Often the symptoms of back pain will worsen in the third quarter.

Back pain is a very common symptom in pregnancy
  • cramp. The mother's body is under a lot of pressure, from the growing fetus, all the muscles, bone system, hormones and blood vessels are having to work for two people at the same time. Try to drink enough water and rest. If the cramps are not remission, the mother should contact the doctor.
  • Mood change. It's not uncommon for me to change my mind, at the same time I have to worry about a lot of things, and I'm very tired of the extra volume to carry. If mood changes make it difficult for the mother to fall asleep and affect daily activities, tell your doctor. There are many mothers who suffer from depression during and after pregnancy, so talk to your doctor about what you feel, and doctors will advise you on how to control your mood.
  • The legs are larger. Some women have to increase a whole shoe size during pregnancy. This is when you should invest in a quality shoe to help you feel comfortable until the end of pregnancy, you should not wear high heels and should take care of your feet carefully.

4. Notes at 30 weeks gestation

It is not necessary to do an ultrasound this week of pregnancy, but the doctor may prescribe to check the development of the fetus. The contours of the fetal mold are clearer, the mother can also see when the baby opens her eyes on the ultrasound image. In addition, the mother will measure the gestational heart. There are two abdominal belts, one carrying a fetal heart gauge, and the other will measure the muscles of the uterus. Fetal heart measurements to check if the fetus receives enough oxygen or detects symptoms of pregnancy failure.

What mom should do:

  • Eat starchy foods such as potatoes and cereals, eat more vegetables and lean meats to reduce the risk of diarrhea. Do not eat high-sugar feed. If you have diarrhea for a few days, see a doctor.
  • Exercise regularly, walk 30 minutes several times a week. She can also dance gently and go swimming. Pregnant women who have regular physical activity during pregnancy have a shorter period of labor.
  • Drink enough vitamins and minerals. Please consult your doctor about the appropriate dose.

Ask your doctor how to distinguish between real uterus contractions and Braxton Hicks' birth braces. You can have mounds that cause pain and more often, sometimes it's real uterus contractions. If you're not sure if you've been in labor, or if you've seen negative bleeding or vaginal discharge, call your doctor now!
