The origin of the 2019-nCoV strain is unknown. The study of the viral genome explained that the virus has a 96.3% similarity to the coronavirus strain from bats, so it is highly likely that this is a strain of the virus from bats that is mutat and then infects humans. Currently, the medical community has confirmed that 2019-nCoV is capable of spreading from person to person.
