Molecular biological testing has affirmative implications in the diagnosis of infection. However, this method does not make antibiotics. To evaluate the results of immuno tests must be based on the pathogenesa of each type of microorganism.

1. What is an infection (also known as a bacterial infection)?

Infection is the penetration and ation of microorganisms in/on the host (which can cause disease or not cause disease).

Microorganisms and living organisms of extremely small size that are not visible to the naked eye, want to observe must use microscopes with great magnification. Microorganisms are the cause of infections and infections. Microorganisms include bacteria, viruses, fungi and parasites.

An infection is a bacterial infection in which there is damage to the functions or structure of the host's body (person or animal), which is manifested by signs and symptoms.

Every year in the U.S. about 125,000 people die from infection. It is the fourth most common cause of cardiovascular diseases (650,000), encephaular disease (389,000), cancer (370,000); much higher than accidents (100,000), cirrhosis (31,000) and suicide (25,000).

Vietnam is a tropical country with a favorable environment and climate for microorganisms to develop, so infection is very common and diverse.

2. What is a Micro sinhsy test?

Micro-tests are a set of tests that analyze and diagnose the causes of infections and infections including identifying the cause (pathogenic microorganisms) or consequences (immune response of the host's body), helping to support the diagnosis and treatment of infection.

Micro-tests are divided into 2 large groups: direct and indirect testing, which can be divided into 4 methods:

  • Direct screening tests
  • Culture tests
  • Immuno-testing
  • Molecular Biology Tests

3. The meaning of each Microcess test

Each type of test has its own meaning.

3.1. Direct screening tests

This method is simple, easy to implement, fast with results, including:

  • Make a staining copy from the product to find bacteria, fungi based on the body, color catching properties, size and arrangement; evaluation of cell types.
  • Make fresh copies from the product to find parasites, some types of bacteria, fungi based on the body, mobile properties.

The results of direct screening tests are usually only valid for preliminary diagnosis and orientation for the next test steps. Only in some cases, when microorganisms with special bodies have affirmative diagnostic value.

3.2. Testing for culture, isolation and micro-identity

This test is intended to accurately identify pathogenic microorganisms from diseases taken from infected locations on the body.

After culture, isolation, identity will collect strains of pathogenic microorganisms from the infectious locations to conduct antibiotics. Antibiotic results will show that pathogenic microorganisms are still sensitive or resistant to each antibiotic, thereby helping clinicians choose the right antibiotics for treatment.

Therefore, the results of culture tests, isolation, and the identity of pathogenic microorganisms are being considered the gold standard in the diagnosis of infections.

3.3. Molecular Biological Tests

As high-technical tests, detecting genes characteristic of microorganisms, helping to quickly diagnose infections, shortening the waiting time for results.

Molecular biological testing has affirmative implications in the diagnosis of infection. However, this method does not make antibiotics.

3.4. Immuno-tests

Detection of antigens of microorganisms or antibodies in the patient's serum based on known antibodies – antigens. To evaluate the results of immuno tests must be based on the pathogenesa of each type of microorganism.

Share99 International Health Hub provides a full range of microbiology tests from basic (direct screening) to intensive (molecular biology techniques, especially multi-agent tests – at the same time can detect many microorganisms from the disease) to help diagnose the disease quickly accurate. Here, all tests are always guaranteed quality in accordance with ISO 15189.
